We are pleased to announce that Basil has decided he would like to stand in Harwich and North Essex for UCAT, where he will be contesting the seat currently held by Bernard Jenkins.
Basil is a big fan of mouse hunting and eating, and he would like to see this sport legalised as soon as possible. He also likes to chase the local homeless cat out of his garden.
Cuddles are absolutely necessary for him and he prefers to travel on a comfy lap, on a lead, rather than in a kitty cage. He loves visiting the vets and charms the socks off of everyone who meets him. Basil promises that if we leave the EU, he will insist on using the entire NHS budget for paw surgery to provide all British cats with opposable thumbs*, so that the need for human slaves is eliminated.
(* = A thumb that can be placed opposite the fingers of the same hand. Opposable thumbs allow the digits to grasp and handle objects like primates.)
SUPPORT UCAT and VOTE for BASIL to legalise MOUSE HUNTING NOW!
